The Phillip Charles Group Labor and Employment Associate in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Our client, a well established Law Firm in Troy, Michigan is hiring a Labor and Employment Associate to assist their growing organization. The Labor and Employment Associate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to partner-level attorneys during all phases of employment related litigation and traditional labor matters.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity. 

The salary range is between range is $100,000 - $150,000 depending on experience plus a generous benefit package and plenty of perks. The schedule is Monday -- Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Labor and Employment Associate Responsibilities:

  • Perform legal research, drafting and managing discovery, creating legal documents attending hearings, participate in depositions, drafting responses to EEOC and MDCR charges.
  • Assist with all areas of discovery including, drafting discovery requests, responses to discovery requests, preparation of initial disclosures, and witness preparation.
  • Handle various aspects of employment related litigation, such as motion hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Prepare trail materials.
  • Attend and assist at pretrial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.

Labor and Employment Associate Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years' experience in employment related litigation and court counseling.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Experience in managing discovery, taking and defending depositions.
  • Experience in traditional labor matters is a plus.
  • Admitted to the Michigan State Bar, or eligible to promptly become admitted.
