Webasto Roof Systems Inc., seeks Indirect Purchasing Expert for a position in Auburn Hills, Michigan to perform purchasing responsibilities for automotive roof component production operations including equipment, raw materials and services for manufacturing, production and finished goods for automotive roofs and sunroofs. Coordinate product/service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiations, order processing, contract administration, supplier performance management and strategic sourcing, with an annual spend of $10 million. Determine supplier strategies and supplier panel management. Develop people, processes, systems and organization. Develop and execute supplier strategies. Responsible for the cross-business unit procurement of investments, materials and services. Develop, implement, and execute sub-category strategies on complex subjects. Utilize SAP Purchasing and Accounting modules. Support purchasing strategy in its defined area of responsibility as well as achieving performance targets. Follow global processes, standards, and tools as well as continuously improve to ensure success. Support Purchasing Department with procurement of equipment, materials, products, and services according to established purchasing guidelines.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a foreign equivalent, and at least 3 years of experience as a Buyer or a substantially similar position performing all of the above listed job duties.
