Genisys Credit Union Building Maintenance Technician - Part Time in Auburn Hills, Michigan

At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential to our ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Building Maintenance Technician at our Home Office.

Position Purpose

Responsible for maintaining open property, buildings, equipment, utilities, furnishings, and grounds. Assumes direct responsibility for maintenance and landscaping of assigned areas. Performs preventative maintenance, makes minor repairs. Reports major repair and maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

  • Operates building equipment and utilities systems to maintain proper heat, cooling, power, water, plumbing, etc., at all times. Assists outside service representatives in checking, maintaining, and repairing building equipment.

  • Performs and arranges scheduled preventative maintenance and cleaning. Completes inspections and tests, and maintains logs and records reflecting results.

  • Performs minor building and furniture modifications or repairs involving carpentry, painting, wiring, and overhauling.

  • Provides assistance and direction on outside service and repair work. Follows-up on work reviews and ensures that outside services are efficiently completed.

  • Completes assigned maintenance functions in accordance with established policies and procedures, and ADA and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous maintenance experience required

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Driver’s License

Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of janitorial equipment and maintenance procedures.

  • Basic understanding of the operation of electrical, mechanical, heating, cooling and plumbing equipment.

  • Good mechanical and problem solving abilities.

  • Well organized and able to work well independently.

  • Able to coordinate well with others and professionally assist vendors as needed.

  • Attentive to detail.

  • Able to operate drills, electrical tools, hand tools, snow blower, and all related machinery.
