Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a Value Stream Manage r at our Auburn, CA/Vian Enterprises location.

Job Summary:

The Value Stream Manager I(VSM)ensurescustomer satisfactionbyleadingacross functional team to execute the Annual Operating Plan for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and Growth of the business and associates. The VSMIis accountable for the long-term financial performance of the Value Stream by ensuring alignment to business needs and growth, establishing future state strategic vision, and developing and executing continuous improvement roadmaps.

Essential Functions:

  • Workclosely with other functions of the business such as Order Management, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Manufacturing and Design Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, and Business Unit leaders

  • Driveaccountability for daily performance reporting and problem solving of key performance indicators(KPIs)such as safety/quality/delivery/cost/growth (plan, do, check, and act)

  • Championkaizen events with focus on continuous improvement and productivity initiatives; Supportlean initiatives by leading/facilitating kaizen events

  • Developassociates to reach their maximum potential and build a highly skilled, highly regarded and highlymotivated customer focused team

  • Participatein budget preparationand long-range capital planning

  • Own, develop, and drivethe continuous improvement roadmap and implementation plan to achieve operational objectives and future state vision

  • Summarizeresults and prepare presentations for executive and customer review

  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy

  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

  • Major accountabilities include, but are not limited to:associate safety, product quality, on-time delivery, financial results (operational costs), and growth planning

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience:3+years of experiencedirectly supporting operations

  • Knowledge: Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods; Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and coordination of people and resources

  • Skills/Abilities:Strong critical thinkingskills; Excellent time management/sense of urgency;Complex problem solvingability;Good judgment and decision makingskills;Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor degree in Manufacturing or related field

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Salary range: $104,800 to $134,000. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
