Sensata Technologies, Inc. Digital Technologies MES Product Owner in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Digital Technologies Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Product Owner is a highly experienced professional that plays a crucial role in developing and deploying Smart Factory solutions. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between the shop floor of today and the shop floor of the future. This includes but is not limited to the selection and implementation of a new Global Manufacturing Execution Platform. This individual will be a key partner to our worldwide manufacturing sites and with the IT organization on defining and designing the transformation program to enable the transition of our factories into Smart Factories. This is a highly influential role that can define global requirements across plants and lead implementing them. This includes driving change management and assisting with global definition of Metrics, Master Data standardization, reporting, etc.

In this functional role, you need to possess a deep understanding of Smart Factory ideologies, concepts, and technologies, while also having working knowledge best practice manufacturing concepts and processes.

  • Oversee operations for a MES product team, ensuring all tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.

  • Lead a MES Product team through planning and execution.

  • Has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to lead and execute strategy, ensuring solutions and operational services are cost effectively developed and delivered to meet program requirements.

  • Perform validation, risk/support assessments, and effectiveness analysis.

  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

  • Provide industry expertise to a wide range of difficult problems.

  • Provide input to budget plans and estimates.

  • Collaboratively determines and develops approach to solutions.

  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts, in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines

Required Education/Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of education, a combination of 10 years of work experience and industry certifications will be considered.

  • Minimum 5 years of Product Owner / Functional Program Manager experience, using Agile methodologies in a manufacturing setting.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with MES software, to include in-depth knowledge of SCADA and HMI platforms, UPC-IA and MQTT protocols, as well as Industry 4.0/Smart Factory solutions such as OEE. Predictive Maintenance, Track and Trace, and Digital Work Instructions

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications :

  • Strong collaboration and influence skills. This will be needed to drive global process definition and adoption.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing digital manufacturing solutions, utilizing data-driven decision-making.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and product development best practices is preferred.

  • Familiar with system architecture principles and Dev Op’s cycles, experience working with cloud platforms and data analytics tools is also a plus.

  • Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communication and Collaboration: Ability to clearly communicate complex manufacturing engineering and technical concepts, progress updates and future roadmaps to key stakeholders, including business decision-makers and non-technical users.

  • Partnership with internal stakeholder and 3rd Parties to identify software solutions that will meet business requirements and develop total cost of ownership recommendations.

  • Expertise: Expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting smart factory solutions Including the implementation of integrated solutions that seamlessly connect devices, systems, and data.

  • Metrics and measurement: Helps identify KPI’s, measure the impact of smart factory solutions and defines reporting needs to site and executive management.
