ASRC Federal Holding Company Network Administrator in Atlantic City, New Jersey

ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a System Administrator to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.

  • We are looking for an experienced individual who is able to work with our current hardware database team as a network system administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving all networking equipment in a mixed Linux and Windows based environment within the Remote Monitoring and Logging System (RMLS). This individual will also be asked to occasionally offer support to other team members in resolving complex issues within the system and/or providing expert guidance on networking best practices, as well as document and test solutions. They will occasionally interface with outside vendors (FTI) to resolve issues outside the scope of RMLS.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Configuring network hardware (servers, routers and switches)

  • Manage Firewall, Load balancers

  • Upgrading and repairing computer networks

  • Troubleshooting network issue

  • Assisting network architects with the design of network models

  • Deploying and updating software

  • Managing servers and their operating systems

  • Implementing security measures

  • Developing test processes and procedures

  • Performing testing

  • Managing cloud and physical network storage

  • Create and update network related documentation

  • Attends and may lead meetings, design reviews, working groups and briefings

  • Reports issues and problems and recommends solutions. Performs other related duties in line with tasks assignments

  • RMLS Field Support 24x7 as needed

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • On-site at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center

  • Some lifting may be involved

  • After hours install and support as needed

  • May require travel

Requirements :

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twenty (20) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field OR Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and sixteen (16) years related work experience in a computer science or math field. OR PhD or Doctorial in a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and six (6) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field.
