The Meteorologist position at our station requires the preparation and presentation of accurate weather forecasts across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms. This role involves creating engaging weather content, monitoring severe weather conditions, adapting to flexible work schedules, and staying current with the latest meteorological broadcast technology. Responsibilities:

  • Deliver weather information across various channels, applying a fresh, creative approach for digital platforms.
  • Produce compelling weather graphics and animations using our weather systems.
  • Engage with audiences through social media and digital platforms, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Report live or pre-produced weather stories as needed.
  • Suggest technological upgrades to improve weather broadcasting.
  • Support station promotions and effectively interact with the public.

Key Qualifications:

  • Capable of balancing multiple projects with visual creativity under time constraints.
  • Strong on-camera delivery, especially during live, unscripted reporting on weather events.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
