TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced VP Modernization Operations- East Region located in Atlanta, GA.

Responsible for driving the success of modernization operations for the region to ensure that profit and gross margin are exceeded and operational departments continue to grow in volume and exceed the annual budgetary plan.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Drives and supports a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization in all lines of business. Includes acting as the face of safety and compliance to all employees; and strategically leading programs involving safety and compliance training, safety audits and accident prevention. Drives focus on results by implementing improvements and changes as well as pushing through innovations to achieve best in class performance. Leads modernization operations for the region with an emphasis on exceeding business goals and proactively addressing weaknesses and risks within the modernization business. Includes nurturing an organizational culture that challenges others to generate breakthrough ideas and take well-reasoned risks. Ensures that regional modernization operations run efficiently and cost effectively. Accountable for modernization operations PandL within the region. Includes partnering with branch/general managers, area vp's, area operation directors and all field mod ops employees supervising modernization and project managers and trainers to support, drive and execute corporate and regional strategic initiatives and elevate programs. Includes providing training and support to modernization operations managers and superintendents. Regularly visits areas/branches to strategically review job fade. Conducts forecasts and trending analysis for projects, monitors AR, material estimate variances, bookings and other items impacting working capital and EBIT. Reviews and participates in bids of large or complex modernization jobs to ensure profitability, attends bid presentations and meets with architects and general contractors. Reviews and approves plans to control labor efficiency, and customer service efficiency. Ensures the region's operations run efficiently and cost effectively. Includes strategic oversight of the modernization department's performance and morale, and direct involvement with customer complaints when needed. Creates synergies between new installation, modernization, repair and service workforce. Strategically reviews PandL and other financial reports to monitor regional modernization operations performance to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met or exceeded. Includes participating in budget reviews at a corporate level as requested. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements. Maintains strong familiarity of company products by attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods. Includes maintaining a strong understanding of TK Elevator, and its regional and company mission and objectives, ethical standards and code of conduct.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Requires 10 years of operational elevator and construction experience, and experience with the modernization product line. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be very well organized, have a high energy level, strong work ethic, acute attention to detail and be very process oriented. Must be motivated, goal oriented and proactive. Ability to identify, own, understand, supervise and delegate to ensure accurate completion under strict timelines with minimal guidance; ability to react well under pressure and willing to accept responsibility. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; must be able to address business challenges and provide solutions. Must be team oriented and have the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work and collaborate with employees and customers within and outside the regional office.
