About the Job

The Training Director is responsible for overseeing development of training programs and day-to-day operations including managing projects, quality assurance programs and supervising employees and vendors. This position requires previous experience with curriculum design, project and staff management and the ability to multi-task while coordinating high-quality training services with clients nationwide. The Training Director pays close attention to detail and has strong communication and organizational skills. They are responsible for interfacing directly with clients, and vendors, and cross-functional internal teams, by maintaining solid business relationships and monitoring existing processes to analyze effectiveness. Job Responsibilities

  • Able to work flexible schedule (40+ hours/week).
  • Supervise Training Manager, Training Coordinators, and development vendors.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development and implementation of new training programs using pedagogical best practices and adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure curriculum is relevant, engaging, innovative, and delivered using industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales to determine learning objectives and desired course outcomes for new training programs, and update existing curriculum as needed.
  • Collaborate with the testing development team to create exams that align with curriculum.
  • Manage quality assurance programs to ensure alignment with ALTA standards.
  • Manage billing and payroll processes.
  • Assess the clients needs by determining scope of work and providing the most appropriate training service.
  • Maintain ongoing client and vendor relationships.
  • Perform other similar duties as required (by responsibility or necessity) or as requested.

Skills

  • Proficiency in learning management systems, e-learning authoring tools and other training technologies
  • Expertise in curriculum design and development, specifically in the language field, including knowledge of educational theories and pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learning needs

Education/Training

  • Degree: College Degree or equivalent experience
  • Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel etc.)
  • Languages: Knowledge of a second language is a plus, but not required

Experience

  • At least 2 years experience in language training and development, with a track record of designing and implementing successful programs.
  • At least one-year experience as a training manager and project manager.
  • Prior customer service experie ce required.
  • Experience working remotely preferred.
  • Previous experience working for a language service agency preferred.

Salary

Current pay range for the position of Training Director: from $54,600.000 to $81,900.00 per year.Actual pay depends on several factors, including but not limited to level of education, knowledge, skills, qualifications, certifications, previous experience in similar positions, market pay rates, comparable salaries, geographical location, jobs availability, budget availability, revenue etc.

Ability to work full time remotely $750 first year then $500 per year towards a work from home office set up.
