In Third Party Risk and Compliance Technology, we build industry disrupting, award winning technology solutions that allow our customers to analyze, identify and prevent financial crime. Our flagship Risk and Compliance Platform brings together the latest in advanced workflow technology, award-wining data, and industry expertise to automate the most complex compliance workflows - making each aspect more efficient and effective. We are seeking a lead full-stack developer with strong back-end knowledge and experience building innovative and highly performant applications to help deliver new, market disrupting risk and compliance capabilities to market. The successful candidate will have a strong background and proven track record of delivering highly scalable, always available, secure, fault tolerant and cost-effective software and services from ideation to deployment.

What you'll do:

  • Act as a technical lead for a team of full stack software engineers with solid experience and a proven track record of delivering game changing, industry disrupting products to market, to create new solutions that help meet regulatory needs for our customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the product team as well as a highly skilled group of QA and Data engineers, data scientists, UX designers and user researchers to mold your solutions into highly performant, awe-inspiring experiences that help analyze, identify and prevent financial crime across the globe
  • Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Typescript, Python and Rust along with relational databases and big data stores such as Databricks to build cutting edge applications that change the game for our customers and keep them one step ahead of the adversary
  • Share your passion for technology by staying on top of industry trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal and external technology communities and mentoring your team members to grow them in to the next generation of technology leaders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or professional experience
  • At least 3 years of practical experience in software engineering (with an advanced degree)
  • 3+ years of experience with Javascript and Typescript
  • 2+ years of experience with React
  • 2+ years of experience with NodeJS
  • 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Docker
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud computing on AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another major cloud service provider

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree

6+ years experience with Javascript and NodeJS

3+ years of experience with React

3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another major cloud service provider

2+ years of experience with Kubernetes or Docker or alternatively a valid CKAD certification

2+ years experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server

2+ years experie ce designing and developing production-quality RESTful APIs and microservices

2+ years experience with Databricks

2+ years of experience with Terraform

2+ years experience in Python or Rust

1+ years experience developing GraphQL APIs

1+ years experience in Agile practices

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is[[$134,800]-[[$195,550], depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
