Honeywell Sr Advanced Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Atlanta, GA) in Atlanta, Georgia

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for working with Honeywell Software Engineering teams in an Agile environment to coordinate design, develop (writing code), manage and/or maintain our key products in the Connected Safety.

Lead and participate in the SDLC activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Connected Safety products.

Drive end to end testing of application at all levels including non-functional testing (Integration/Acceptance/Performance/Scalability/Reliability).

Partner with other HCE teams to ensure correct technology decisions are made in line with the broader Forge Platform.

Improve speed to market and application quality by utilizing testing best practices, release automation, component releases and release strategies.

Serve as technology evangelist that supports other team members to adopting and implementing technology to improve the application.

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field and eight (8) years of software development experience. Must possess five (5) years of experience in the following: requirement analysis; object oriented design; implementation, testing and support; SOLID design principles & design patterns; Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Processes; programming languages, including C#, .net framework, and .net Core; Cloud SaaS/PaaS/IaaS; hands on Azure knowledge (AD, App service, Storage Account (Blob, Queue, Tables), and Cosmos DB, Key Vaults, APIM, Sendgrid); NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Time series DB (Influx DB or similar); writing Unit testcases; working in an agile environment with full stack teams; web APIs, Web application development, Micro services; JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model data structure libraries; modern front-end build pipelines and tools; code versioning tools, including Git; and technically competent/leading Cloud & On‐premise Platform Development. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
