Job Summary:

* In office requirement 3x a week.

A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. This role will be responsible for reconciling balance sheet account balances, maintaining general ledger functions, preparing month-end close procedures and analyzing the P&L accounts

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support general accounting and related general ledger. Areas of balance sheet responsibility include, but are not limited to, prepaid expenses, capitalized labor associated with software development costs, other assets, intangible assets, goodwill, accrued consulting, accrued maintenance, debt, and equity. Ensure all closing and external reporting deadlines and accounting standards are met.

  • Research, interpret and ensure compliance with GAAP. Provide assistance to improve business processes and accounting systems by working directly with all business units to ensure the accuracy, usefulness and timeliness of financial statements provided to management and external auditors.

  • Assist in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. This includes, but is not limited to, active participation in control matrix and process narrative updates, ensuring that accounting policies and procedures are adhered to, and assistance, as needed, in the ongoing development and implementation of new controls, policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of interpretive analysis of monthly trended results to be used by Management for the balance sheet and P&L. Assist in the year-end financial statement audit and quarterly reviews with the external auditors, specifically in the preparation of audit schedules.

  • Participate as necessary in accounting integration of business acquisitions.

  • Support cost center owners as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

  • Minimum 4-5 years of accounting experience.

  • Public accounting or internal audit experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge of GAAP and all aspects of general accounting.

  • Advanced level computer skills. Experience using Netsuite is preferred.

  • Familiarity with or experience in internal controls.

  • Foreign Currency Translation or International Accounting experience is a plus.
