Our team is seeking a seasoned Trust & Safety Analyst to join our ranks. In this pivotal role, you will analyze data to provide insights into the performance of production-scale LLMs utilized for content creation through Mailchimp's products. You will also analyze data and identify emerging trends of product abuse and fraudulent activities.

You’ll cultivate a deep understanding of our suite of products and bring industry best practices as it relates to trust & safety to address large scale problems related to issues such as product abuse, violations of Acceptable Use Policies (AUP), AI and other emerging risks. As we continue to grow our capabilities, You’ll also play a critical role in supporting the development and monitoring of analysis tools, rule engine integrations, and implementing stronger controls that improve our overall posture within the content moderation space.

What you'll bring

  • 4+ years of experience analyzing data in domains such as cybersecurity, digital products, service operations, e-commerce marketplace, customer care, finance, and marketing.

  • 4+ years of experience building dashboards using Tableau/Looker or any other visualization tool.

  • Extensive SQL experience, particularly in your current role.

  • The ability to simplify stories with data and be concise in the insights and how they drive outcomes with leadership and stakeholders.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end, systems-oriented quantitative thinking.

  • Outstanding communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

  • Proactive and inquisitive learner: seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities to enhance the business, rather than reacting to circumstances.

  • Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills.

  • The ability to work independently and make decisions with little direction.

  • Familiar with using Github.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Finance, Advanced Analytics, a related field or equivalent work experience. Master’s Degree preferred.

How you will lead

  • Analyze data and provide insights into the performance of LLM’s used for creating content using Mailchimp’s products.

  • Analyze data and provide insights into emerging trends of product abuse and fraudulent behaviors.

  • Work with Data Engineers to define requirements for new data sources.

  • Proactively identify and communicate data anomalies to stakeholders to ensure timely action and resolution.

  • Visualize and communicate your findings clearly by building Tableau dashboards.

  • Deliver verbal and written briefings to senior/executive leaders and key stakeholders.

  • Collaborate and influence cross-functional partners (policy teams, product management, data analytics, operations, engineering, algorithms) to identify, assess and resolve related issues in our products.

  • Stay updated on trust & safety trends, emerging fraud threats, and new system/tools to help bolster platform and product risk prevention/detection capabilities
