Home Depot Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst -Technology in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

  • The Senior Sourcing Analyst is an exciting opportunity to develop professionally in a fast paced environment for an individual with strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The Senior Sourcing Analyst is a key member of the Sourcing team which will be responsible for sourcing assigned indirect products and services for The Home Depot supporting the Technology Teams (Ex. IT Hardware/Software, Services, Labor) The position will support the Sourcing Team in the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. In this role, the Sr Sourcing Analyst will work closely with the Sourcing Managers to execute sourcing and contracting activities.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

Market Research/Category Management - Completes supply market research and presents learnings from research/analysis. Provides support for ad hoc reporting

RFx Development, Evaluation & Analysis - Supports the gathering of requirements definitions, market analysis, supports the RFx process, analysis of supplier proposals, develop supplier recommendation and negotiation activities

Financial/Cost Analysis - Conducts accurate financial analysis of spend details. Assist with the collection, analysis, and total cost ownership analytical activities

Communication/Project Control /Project Management/Ad Hoc Reporting- Manage updates to Sourcing Systems and Projects, communications to internal stakeholders and suppliers, related to/about sourcing process. Provide support for sourcing events which includes, but not limited to timeline management, analysis, key communications, and RFx development

Position typically reports to:

Manager or Sr. Manager

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Related Field

  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience

  • CPSM Certification or Sourcing Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability in working across multiple business partners and geographies

  • Support the procurement team in interfacing with the business leaders to execute the aligned sourcing strategy which may include the development of RFxs, use of eSourcing tools, bid evaluations, supplier evaluation, development of negotiation strategy, negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting.

  • Conducts category spend analyses and other quantitative analysis to evaluate suppliers.

  • Produces monthly ad-hoc reporting on behalf of the procurement team.

  • Conducts supplier stratification, supply market and category industry research.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other related software operations.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Ability to interpret data to tell a story.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.

  • Highly motivated and can demonstrate a proactive approach to solving problems.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written, internally and externally
