MacStadium Senior Software Developer - Orka in Atlanta, Georgia

What we need:

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer - Orka to join our growing Software Development team.  This Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of MacStadium's virtualization and orchestration products. Responsibilities include full stack architecture and design of software systems, infrastructure automation, API and services development, testing, deployment, and delivery of software products.

In this role, you will use Go heavily to support custom Kubernetes operators and resources, build and orchestrate OCI-compliant VM images, and maintain and extend functionality of a cross-platform CLI using the Cobra framework. You will also use Terraform and Ansible in the deployment and configuration of both internal and customer-facing infrastructure. You will have opportunities to use Swift for integrating with the MacOS virtualization framework as well as its UI framework.

This position is a part of our Software Development team, reporting to the VP – Engineering; Atlanta, GA location and Eastern Time zone is preferred.

MacStadium's current U.S. office locations are in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV. While it is ideal to have this position located in close proximity to one of our offices, we are open to filling the role remotely outside of the states of Georgia and Nevada (within the United States) for the right candidate.

    What experience and skills you need to have:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar preferred

  • 5 years of experience and at least 3 5 years of professional experience with the top 10 technical skills

  • Full Stack software development experience

  • Experience with Agile development practices

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills as well as team oriented and customer-focused

  • Ability to work in a team environment to deliver components to complex projects

For California, Colorado, and Illinois applicants, the compensation range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000.
