This position will require travel and temporary relocation with generous monthly per diem, travel and comprehensive benefits provided. By becoming part of this team, you will also contribute to the support provided to advanced manufacturing clients spanning different high-tech sectors including multi-billion dollar manufacturing facilities.

About the job:

  • A Commissioning Senior Engineer reports to engineering managers, directors, and management and is responsible for the technical oversight, business development, and professional services support to all teams within a region.

  • Primary activities include mentoring staff on processes, developing standards to promote growth of the team, and managing projects from a supervisory level.

  • Additional activities include leading weekly staff scheduling, participating in and leading sessions of the company-wide safety and training programs, and presenting at private or public events including trade shows.

  • Administrative activities include quality assurance by leading and supporting existing projects and clients, supporting company sales and revenue targets, and initiating new relationships with strategic clients, markets, and market sectors to expand business plans and company goals.

  • Candidate must be able to travel to and from various job sites within the assigned region.

Requirements:

  • Completed a Masters Degree in HVACR or mechanical engineering, construction management or an Associates Degree in engineering technology or related trade school, construction, maintenance, or engineering controls experience

  • Experience in a management position related to maintenance, construction, or engineering controls or 5+ years in the Cx industry

  • 7+ years of experience managing the interconnectivity of building equipment including pumps, fans, motors, air ventilation, chillers, boilers, steam distribution, heat absorption, building automation systems, optimization techniques, electrical distribution, fire alarm, variable refrigerant flow, and waste-water systems.

  • Strong mentoring skills, coaching abilities, and ability to present in front of a group of people.

  • Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, bid process, and ancillary industry documents

  • Aptitude to solve problems independently and in a team environment

  • Adaptability to varying indoor and outdoor working conditions

  • Physical fitness, capability to lift at least 30 pounds, and ability to climb ladders

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred qualifications:

  • Trade association involvement

  • P. E., CCP, CxA, CEM, or similar certification from experience

  • OSHA 30 or other safe workplace certifications
