The Global Crisis and Reputation Risk practice is one of the most respected and largest in the world, serving clients on complex crises and with 180 practitioners in more than 60 countries. The capabilities and diversity of talent have also grown to include former management consultants, digital leaders, sector experts, research and analytics. The Crisis and Risk team advises leading corporations, governments and institutions and their senior leaders on a broad range of crises including litigation, corporate malfeasance, societal matters, ethics and integrity, security risks (e.g., physical and data), product and service risks (e.g., safety, health) and financial.

About the Opportunity:

Edelman has an opening for an experienced communications practitioner with a crisis communications and issues management background.

While there's no "typical" day in this role, a Senior Account Supervisor plays a key role in crisis planning, strategy development, and execution of response. We are looking for a team member who can dynamically and flexibly adjust to new information and other developments. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a "run to the fire" instinct.

Key responsibilities: Supports day-to-day management of issues triage and response, including overseeing team coordination and client counsel Leads research, planning, and development of comprehensive corporate and crisis communications campaigns (both proactive mitigation and reactive response) Research trends to proactively counsel clients on their messaging and engagement in topics Oversees account teams' quality and operational performance, ensuring deadline adherence, reaction to industry trends, and ensuring plan execution maps to client objectives within budget Take immediate action on client feedback Supervise more junior staff by mentoring, motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedback Contribute to business development, including new business and organic growth with existing clients

Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in public relations with at least 3 years in issues management, preferably in an agency setting A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience Excellent client relationship skills and experience giving counsel on strategy, approach, and execution Excellent writing ability Media strategy and message development skills to lead execution of planning, messaging, and storytelling on behalf of clients Experience in working in new business, driving proposal development and opportunities for the team Strong organizational, scheduling, and time/project management skills; possess the ability to multiple deadlines simultaneously Demonstrated ability to work within a small team and large global network Experience growing and developing talent Available to travel onsite with regionally headquartered clients (conditions permitting)

$79,000 - $115,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
