Savan Group Records and Information Management Project Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Savan Group is actively recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to support the implementation of a government client’s Records and Information Management (RIM) program modernization. The Project Manager will oversee a team of management consultants who provide procurement, records management, training, and IT solution implementation support. The Project Manager will be the principal point of contact for the client, coordinating and supporting cross-agency meetings, developing and managing project schedules, and reporting project status, risks, and milestones to clients. As a Savan Group Project Manager, you will also be responsible for managing and providing internal reporting on project financials, growth/business development, and staff performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day client interactions

  • Oversee team activities and provide guidance and deliverable reviews

  • Coordinate with program stakeholders across the agency

  • Support process analysis and redesign efforts to incorporate RIM modernization initiatives

  • Develop and foster lasting relationships with client personnel

  • Ensures that Savan Group project team meets contractual deliverables and/or services as stated in the statement of work or similar document

  • Identifies and escalates project risks to appropriate venue for resolution or mitigation

  • Supports COR with contract-related taskings as needed

  • Identifies client’s unmet needs or pain points and evaluates/suggests solutions

  • Coaches and mentors Savan Group team members for career development and growth

  • Identifies and onboards new Savan Group team members as needed

  • Supports and leads business development efforts for client or other organizations

  • Report on project progress, status, and risks with weekly and monthly status report

  • Support internal project reporting for Savan Group leadership

    Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience

  • 4+ years of project management experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to a wide variety of complex problems

  • Ability to coordinate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders and senior-level clients

  • Experience developing and implementing project work plans and schedules

  • Experience evaluating and supporting the creation and/or re-engineering of business processes against set requirements

  • Experience developing reports, briefings, and decks and presenting to them to clients in a professional and influential way

  • Ability to effectively complete individual tasks, work in a team environment, and be proactive with little guidance

  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks

  • Ability to build and direct high performing teams

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook

  • Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Project Management Professional Certification

  • Background in federal records management

  • Ability to understand and communicate with technical users and system owner

  • Knowledge and understanding of federal records management regulations such as the Federal Records Act, 36 CFR 1236, and OMB M-19-21
