C.H. Robinson Quality Assurance Area Manager - 1st Shift in Atlanta, Georgia

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Quality Assurance Area Manager to lead the charge in improving quality metrics and optimizing productivity for our branch customers. In this key position, you will oversee the daily functions of warehouse operations, focusing on quality control, inventory management, and leading a team of quality assurance and auditing personnel. You will leverage metrics and root cause problem-solving techniques to drive enhancements and support continuous process improvement. Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Educate Distribution Center staff on the Model vision, guiding principles, and strategy

  • Elevate expertise as a subject matter authority in fresh supply inventory, production processes, quality control, costs, and productivity techniques

  • Establish and manage metrics for efficient operations and budgeted objectives

  • Lead a team overseeing quality to surpass customer service metrics and deliver top-tier quality and food safety standards

  • Collaborate with Distribution Center Leadership to execute standard operating procedures, ensuring accurately documented and consistently executed facility services

  • Ensure compliance with HAACP, OSHA, Primus Inspection Standards, and corporate Food Safety standards

  • Cultivate a culture of safety through thorough equipment preventative maintenance schedules and work orders

  • Monitor supplies, packaging, and raw materials for efficient and professional operations

  • Strategically plan staffing levels aligned with projected projects and volume

  • Outline employee accountabilities and expectations, managing performance through coaching and development

  • Contribute to recruitment, selection, promotion, and alignment of diverse talent, fostering development for individual and organizational success

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Minimum 2 years of inventory experience in a warehouse, distribution center, and/or manufacturing operations environment

  • Knowledge of efficient and safe warehousing practices

  • Basic computer skills

  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50lbs

  • Applicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate information and/or instructions

  • Delivers detail oriented, accurate and organized results under pressure

  • Demonstrates the desire to operate in an entrepreneurial, multi-task environment
