Fiber Broadband is a strategic priority for AT&T in 2024. The goal is to augment the rate and reach of AT&T Fiber Service and make it available to more customers (both consumer and business). Another key goal is to provide AT&T Fiber BB service to customers outside AT&T’s region in partnership with third party Open Access Providers.
As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will apply advanced engineering and scientific knowledge to architecture, design and development work in a Research and Development environment for high-value technology and solutions tied to the strategic direction of the company.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Design, implement and maintain Spring Boot applications.
Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
Deploy and scale applications using Kubernetes.
Write effective APIs.
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
Create security and data protection settings.
Architect, define, develop, and deploy software required for AT&T’s Broadband service OSS systems such as BBNMS-LS, G2 and GRANITE and Next gen systems.
Possess and leverage expertise and industry knowledge of Telecom and Broadband Networks, IP networks, Cloud technologies and Modern software practices to provide thought leadership and implement creative solutions.
Required Skills and Technologies:
High Proficiency in modern Java.
Extensive experience with Spring Framework, including Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, and Spring WebFlux.
Experience with BDD and TDD.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes and containerization.
Experience with databases. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and REDIS.
Experience with LDAP.
Strong knowledge Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Workflow.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
Understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
Working knowledge of Agile.
Experience with certificates and certificate management.
Desired Skills and Technologies:
Highly skilled professional with expertise in deploying Spring Boot applications to Kubernetes and excellent communication skills.
Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
Strong background in software engineering and system design
Educational Qualifications
PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or a Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Our Principal Member of Technical Staff earn between $160,900 - $270,400 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
