Your day to day
The Sales Effectiveness Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and measuring sales standards, processes and best practices for Global Sales-AMER Sales that will enable maximum performance from the GLBL/AMER Sales team. This role will manage the development and successful implementation of sales strategies and programs, including developing and refining sales training for IHG Javelin in partnership with the IHG Way of Sales, redevelopment of key sales training programs
In addition, this role will support key projects for Global Sales Effectiveness, including development, implementation in IHG Javelin (Salesforce), support of strategic and tactical programs, and analytics for IHG sales leadership.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities – (Key Activities)
Define and drive sales effectiveness with internal and external stakeholders/sources to ensure the sales function continuously evolves in its sales standards, processes, and efficiencies to offer the greatest return to IHG, owners and customers.
Provide strategic and tactical market and customer insight that will ensure that Regional Sales is continuously aligned to the correct account base and the correct deployment of resource to support the growth of the portfolio.
Evolve the planning and reporting function of sales that ensures visibility, alignment and transparency of activity, whilst providing meaningful and insightful reporting.
Collaborate with Product/Technology Team as the GLBL/Regional Sales representative in Salesforce enhancements. Conceptualize, design, and build dashboards and reports supporting GLBL /Regional Sales team goals.
What we need from you
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree.
5 or more years of experience in sales in both hotel and above-property role. Experience with multi-national organization preferred.
Technical Skills –
Solid experience in sales operations across all segments
Project management and implementation
Ability to analyze, interpret and extract trends from data and analysis
Display an understanding of the local market in regards to culture and customer preference
Work Management –
Establishes goals and objectives and sets performance targets
Ability to manage multiple tasks
