Bank OZK Loan Assistant in Atlanta, Georgia

Job Purpose & Scope

This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Lending department.

Essential Job Functions

  • Serves as first point of contact for all internal and external calls to the department.

  • Coordinates with lenders all applications received via fax and electronic submission.

  • May handle dealer applications and manage the funding process.

  • Produces reports, including monthly usage reports, multiple reports documenting daily, weekly, and monthly results, and credit reports as needed.

  • Prepares and mails Adverse Action Notices to declined applicants as required by law.

  • Assembles loan files for Credit Administration/Loan Review.

  • May document and request monthly disbursement of dealer reserve accounts.

  • Reconciles monthly reports to lenders’ monthly application/funding results.

  • Serves as liaison to ensure the bank is meeting the customers’ needs and to maximize the customer/bank relationship.

  • Become familiar with bank products and services to have the ability to cross sell, as necessary.

  • May provide back up support as needed for commercial lending.

  • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Knowledge of basic elements required to close a loan

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and multiple priorities

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service

  • Ability to produce time sensitive work, consistently meeting deadlines

  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience with commercial loans processing preferred

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with computers, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, required

  • Minimum one (1) year administrative/clerical experience required
