Chick-fil-A Lead Software Engineer, Microsoft Technologies in Atlanta, Georgia

Overview

In the Chick-fil-A Lead Software Engineer role you will serve as a problem solver, influencer, mentor, architect, and expert software engineer. We need you to apply the technical experience you have gained in Microsoft technologies to the design, development, and delivery of a substantial ecosystem of applications developed to support critical business processes. You will both collaborate through partnerships and contribute as a member but will not be responsible for HR management duties. Instead, you will be able to focus on the technical aspects of delivering successful digital transformations in the Restaurant Development and Legal departments at Chick-fil-A.

Responsibilities

  • Own solution architecture design for systems built using Microsoft Power Platform and Dataverse

  • Collaborate with Digital Shared Platforms and Enterprise Architecture teams to deliver patterns and best practices for integrating enterprise systems with solutions in Power Platform

  • Lead delivery and operations of multiple technical products, including both individual contribution and support as well as delegated tasks and support to your team’s engineers. We desire our lead engineers to be both leads and engineers, spending about half of their time leading others and half contributing engineering work themselves.

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate other staff engineers, serving as a role model for best practices, helping to solve complex problems, conducting code reviews, and exchanging experiences

  • Develop and promote guidelines that aide in solutioning between low-code, pro-code, and hybrid approaches to deliver solutions to meet the fast-paced needs of our stakeholders

  • Champion usage of well-architected practices in Power Platform to streamline business processes, automate workflows, and drive digital transformation initiatives

  • Identify & propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies and/or approaches

    Specifically do the above as it relates to systems and data in coordination with Chick-fil-A’s Restaurant Development and Legal departments. This role will also help lead process enhancements in systems to be more automated, secure, performant, and reliable with increased visibility and monitoring.

    Note - Working in a DevOps model, this opportunity includes both building and running solutions that could require off-hour support. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in leading software development teams and delivering complex projects from conception to completion

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)

  • In-depth knowledge of integration patterns for Power Platform including custom connectors

  • Experience with Dataverse including APIs and administrative aspects

  • Familiarity with PowerShell, .NET, and C#

  • Experience with Agile principles as applied to software development

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform Fundamentals or Power Platform Developer Associate

  • Experience with Microsoft Projects for the Web

  • Experience with Azure AD

  • Experience with ALM (Application Lifecycle Management)

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Experience in AWS (Amazon Web Services)
