Boston Consulting Group IT Software Engineer - Senior Project Manager, Hyperion Planning - Multiple Positions in Atlanta, Georgia

IT Software Engineer - Senior Project Manager, Hyperion Planning (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Atlanta, GA) - Responsible for all technical activities relating to the support and future growth of the Hyperion Planning Platform within BCG. Specific duties include: cover future system design and configuration changes, business rules, calculation scripts and web form development, and data integration design in Hyperion planning and external systems including Snowflake, SAP, workday, and BIR; provide technical and operational support within the Planning applications group; provide top level support to a diverse worldwide user base; execute and validate the incorporation of actuals into the system; work across platforms to diagnose and resolve issues in Master Data Management and source data; analyze and diagnose issues, perform root cause analysis of system/data bugs, and perform testing; generate possible solution options and select the preferred option to move forward; partner with technical teams across the Financial Information Management platform teams to troubleshoot data issues, redesign processes, or develop reports; establish and develop relationship with key stakeholders; and assist in the development of training materials and delivering trainings to end-users. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a Software or Platform Engineer, or related occupation, responsible for designing and implementing Hyperion applications which must include at least two (2) years of experience with project management and deployment. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience requirement is not applicable to section) - must possess the following: developing and maintaining financial reports in Hyperion Planning for management; resolving complex technical issues related to Essbase and SQL stored procedures, and automating Essbase Cubes calculations using MAXL, ESSCMD, MDX, and Batch and Shell Scripts; designing automated data load processes in PBCS and PCMCS using batch scripting, calcs scripts, and business rules; using PL/SQL scripts to engage with data warehouse projects including ETL processes; developing databases including data modeling, PL/SQL, and DB Scripts using two or more of the following RDBMS: MS SQL Server, Oracle, and/or Teradata; designing, developing, and maintaining new planning applications in PBCS and PCMCS; developing integration between tools including GITHUB with Oracle PBCS for version management, and SAP and EDW for financial processing and reporting purposes; managing implementations and support of Oracle EPM software (Hyperion products) and integrating Hyperion applications with existing products, including budgeting, forecasting, data warehouse, and management reporting; and conducting testing including system, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing, and preparing design documents, test documentation, training materials, and administration/procedural guides.
