Copeland Global Pricing Director in Atlanta, Georgia

If you are a Pricing Director professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will lead the global development and execution of price strategies for Copeland's business ensuring up-to-date pricing information is configured across all relevant systems. You will coordinate with customers across regional and product business unit management to find opportunities to improve customer profitability. You will also manage price key performance indicators (KPIs) for Copeland’s entire business.

As a Global Pricing Director, you will:

  • Partner with the Global Head of Pricing in development and execution of Copeland’s pricing strategy working closely with sales/pricing teams and global leaders to understand market reactions and variances to define key price adjustments

  • Lead KPI pricing and reports creating strategic action plans based on critical metrics to key customers and support a global review process coordinating with sales and product management/marketing

  • Ensure up-to-date list prices across channels and products as per strategy and discount structures are configured in relevant pricing systems

  • Establish communication guidelines and work closely with sales to ensure appropriate level of information is shared with customers

  • Coordinate with Global Head of Pricing to ensure product-level characteristics are regularly reviewed and margin impact calibrated with market perceived value

  • Coordinate customers in execution of global deal escalation/approval process by tracking timely escalation to relevant parties

  • Work closely with product management and finance to ensure that up-to-date cost information is reflected in relevant pricing systems, with oversight from Global Head of Pricing

  • Manage and monitor pricing tool and automated dashboards (Power BI/Sigma) to be used by sales

  • Coordinate with sales to understand gaps in Copeland’s price model and determine adjustments necessary to maintain competitive prices across products and markets

  • Supervise annual price increase adjustment process and work with own team / sales to strategically implement increases across the portfolio

  • Work closely with product management to understand major changes in costs across products

  • Support sales leaders in training the sales force on changes to pricing strategy, value selling, and negotiation techniques

  • Ensure intercompany transfer pricing policy is accurately applied, in coordination with Finance

Who You Are:

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Data & Analytics, Statistics or Mathematics

  • Experience in business-to-business manufacturing, distribution, or a related field

  • 4-6 years’ proven experience in pricing and designing and evaluating pricing tests

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in business, mathematics, economics or related field strongly preferred

  • Specific experience working with pricing in industrial and/or relevant industries

  • Proven experience in analytics, strategy development, process implementation and price optimization

  • Experience with analytics software such as PowerBI, Sigma, SAS, Python, etc.

  • Experience with Oracle (ERP) and SalesForce.com (CRM)

  • Project management experience

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
