Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a talented Design Quality Control Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to serve in a lead role and perform quality activities on complex Design-Build/P3 projects to ensure that design services provided are in accordance with customer and Parsons quality requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

Scope of Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement and oversees design quality management processes and procedures and supervises personnel involved in quality assurance activities

  • Monitor and track non-compliance issues and implement corrective action plans

  • Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards, the Design Quality Management Plan and reports the results to the designated individuals with responsibilities for Project Quality Management

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality records in an auditable format throughout the project lifecycle

  • Effectively documents, follows-up and closes corrective actions - both internal and external. Analyzes findings/ issues/ non-conformances identified during audits to determine program quality and identify performance trends. Analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data

  • Performs quality assurance reviews/surveillances of design QC documentation for compliance with stated requirements

  • Provide certifications indicating conformance to design quality control requirements

  • Verifies that Parsons and customers’ quality requirements are in compliance with quality standards and quality program requirements for products and services provided

  • Verifies incorporation of comment resolution for both external and internal design reviews

  • Be the point of contact for both internal and external auditors performing audits on the design quality management system and documentation

  • Coordinates with designated project individuals with responsibilities for Project Quality Management

  • Performs certain design quality functions designated for this role in the project’s technical requirements

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, and not less than seven (7) years or more of experience as a lead designer or Engineer of Record in transportation projects

  • Experience as a quality manager for final design on at least one transportation infrastructure project involving both bridge and roadway aspects of at least $50 million in construction value, and one transportation infrastructure project utilizing a design-build methodology.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license registration is required with the ability to secure GA PE within 3 months

  • Ability to work full-time at the project site office (co-location required) in metro Atlanta, near the I-285/SR 400 interchange

  • Requires leadership ability and thorough knowledge of Quality Management practices, processes and current technology

  • Requires experience with quality management systems and standards, specified by ISO 9000, 9001.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with other departments in a tactful and effective manner

  • Computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel and Power Point. Project Planning skills are essential

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to lead team members with day to day activities as well as special projects to assure timely completion

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $227,900.00
