Summary

Effective internal communications and employee engagement are critical to business success. Under the guidance of the Corporate Communications Director, the Corporate Communications Specialist will design and implement an organization-wide communication strategy, while supporting the development of the employee engagement strategy. S/He will lead a range of activities including internal communication campaigns, message development support to internal clients, and communications platform management and training. Other responsibilities will include moderation and governance of all internal messaging and building close partnerships with HR, IT and People and Culture teams.

The Specialist will seek to increase employee engagement and understanding, awareness, inspire multi-directional communication across multiple channels, and support change management initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders in a manufacturing and office environment to take projects from conception to completion.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the planning and disbursement of internal communications across different regions, countries and languages Copywrite and distribute internal communications to support internal clients Create a consistent and authentic tone of voice for internal communications, ensuring that strategic messaging is issued through the appropriate channels Follow basic content design from templates using Word, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Constant Contact and InDesign Manage and maintain corporate communications distribution lists Develop and manage corporate communications calendar Oversee language translation needs per project Manage communications platforms and provide training as needed Track projects to ensure all commitments are delivered on time and in full Assist in managing external agencies and contractors to drive projects forward efficiently and within budget Create POs for external resources Work in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines and priorities

Skills/Knowledge

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Three plus years of experience in marketing or communications Experience in content development and copywriting internal communications Excellent written and verbal skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency in email communication tools, such as Constant Contact Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator Knowledge of SharePoint collaboration platform preferred
