Google Content Operations Analytics Manager, Trust and Safety (Part-Time) in Atlanta, Georgia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in an analytical role (i.e., Analytics Manager, Analytics Consultant Data Analyst, etc.).

  • Experience with one or more of the following areas: statistical analysis, experimentation design and analysis, or machine learning.

  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in statistics, business, computer science, mathematics, economics, or another quantitative field.

  • Experience in management consulting or similar role.

  • Experience in extracting and manipulating large datasets and experience in building data ETL processes.

  • Experience working with and influencing cross-functionally with multiple teams and effective organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience presenting complex data sets.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

As a Content Operations Analytics Manager, you will be part of a Global Operations and Risk team working to ensure that important platform security insight is available to the cross-functional teams.

In this role, you will support multiple internal teams to make data-driven decisions. You will set, monitor, and maintain the key quality and abuse metrics, and identify the issues in product, engineering, and operations. You will provide thought partnership and strategic guidance through business intelligence (BI) insights. You will help define metrics, provide insights and recommendations, build dashboards, and data infrastructure to define, monitor, and drive our key performance indicators.

Please note this role is firmly at 50% time for the foreseeable future. The part-time schedule will be a mutually-agreed upon schedule based on your needs and the team needs (e.g., 2.5 days/week, 4-5 shorter days, etc.).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000-$198,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Understand trends in abusive behavior and abuse detection to influence business decisions and strategy.

  • Define what metrics to look at, what data to collect, what analysis to perform to identify opportunities in abuse detection improvement, harm measurement, and operational efficiency optimizations.

  • Work with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve Play Trust and Safety core metrics, improve abuse detection, and support new engineering and operations product launches.

  • Produce data visualization and automated solutions to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders clearly and effectively.
