Jr. Communications Specialist (Onsite Contract) - Atlanta, GA

Are you a wordsmith with a knack for crafting engaging content? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy supporting diverse communication efforts? If so, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and edit press releases, social media content, website copy, and other communication materials in a clear, concise, and engaging style.

  • Assist with media relations activities, such as monitoring media coverage and researching potential media contacts.

  • Develop and maintain content calendars for various communication channels (e.g., website, social media).

  • Support internal communication initiatives, such as creating employee newsletters or managing internal communication platforms.

  • Conduct research and gather information to support the creation of communication materials.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communications.

  • Proactively identify and recommend communication strategies to achieve marketing and/or business goals.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (marketing, sales, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a communications or marketing role (or equivalent internship experience).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of the English language.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.

  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
