Southern Company Analyst, Training I, II, Sr. in Atlanta, Georgia

This position can sit in the following cities: Atlanta, Georgia/Chattanooga, Tennessee/ Virginia Beach, Virginia/ Naperville, Illinois

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will utilize learning content platforms to automate written, OJT, and simulation forms for integration with learning management systems to digitize data collection and provide near real-time submission and qualification status. The position will perform analysis and reporting of OQ and training data to identify trends and metrics to produce compliance and audit reports and assessments. This role will ensure employees are evaluated within appropriate compliance timeframes.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile OQ/JQ and training metrics and provide regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to business partners and leadership with moderate oversight.

  • Partner extensively with OQ/OJT manager and OQ Standards to perform auditing of employee compliance records to ensure all relevant and required data is submitted accurately by company and contractor evaluators.

  • Utilize learning content platforms to digitize and design training, OQ/JQ qualification exams, assessments, certifications in tandem with design team for integration with learning management system with moderate oversight.

  • Perform testing and validation of training courses, evaluations, and other learning materials for integration into learning management systems to ensure adherence to system requirements and learning goals with moderate oversight.

  • Perform device setups and profile creations for end users utilizing content management systems for instructional learning with moderate oversight.

  • Support and track internal process reviews of employee and contractor training records to validate compliance and qualification statuses with moderate oversight.

Analyst I

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

  • 18 months of equivalent time/experience in compliance-related field

  • Basic knowledge of learning and content management systems

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and verbally

  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others in team environment and on special projects

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple high-priority tasks

  • Ability to problem-solve and provide value added solutions

  • Ability to meet deadlines within established timeframes

Analyst II

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

  • Minimum 2 years as Training Analyst I or equivalent time/experience in compliance-related field

  • Administrator knowledge of learning and content management systems

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with people across all levels

  • Demonstrates superior problem-solving skills

  • Facilitates implementation of new processes to support business objectives and initiatives

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple high-priority tasks

  • Possess effective presentation skills in variety of settings—small/large groups, peers, leaders

Analyst, Senior

JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )

  • Minimum 3-5 years as Training Analyst II or equivalent time/experience in compliance-related field

  • Administrator knowledge of learning and content management systems

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Ability to apply critical knowledge and understanding of strategic issues

  • Ability to cultivate and sustain relationships at all appropriate levels

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with ability to coach and instruct others

  • Ability to problem-solve and provide value added solutions
