Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. The role involves a project-driven approach, working closely with vendors via email and phone to manage unapplied cash, unidentified cash, and cleanup procedures. The candidate will also be expected to identify trends and take the initiative to research and reach out to vendors as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts receivable activities including processing and verification of invoices, record keeping, and resolving any discrepancies.

• Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all payments are processed efficiently and on time.

• Utilize accounting software systems, including Great Plains, IBM AS/400, and Microsoft Excel to maintain records and generate reports.

• Communicate effectively with vendors, responding to inquiries via email and phone.

• Conduct research and reach out to vendors as needed to resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites to create and maintain spreadsheets and documents related to accounts receivable activities.

• Process check payments and manage cash activity to ensure all transactions are accounted for.

• Perform billing functions, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Collaborate with team members to identify trends in accounts receivable data and develop strategies to improve processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) is required

• Experience with IBM AS/400 is beneficial

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is essential

• Understanding of Accounting Functions is required

• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) is crucial

• Knowledge of Billing Functions is necessary

• Ability to handle Cash Activity is required

• Experience with Check Processing is beneficial
