BrightView 2024 Internship | Golf Turf Management (Eatonton, GA) in Atlanta, Georgia

We’re looking for a Golf Turfgrass Management Intern for the upcoming Summer Season. Can you picture yourself here working on a top-tier golf course learning the skills involved in Golf Course maintenance?

You’d be responsible for:

  • Golf Course Maintenance – working with the Turf Management crews in the field; to care for Greens, Fairways, and Tee Boxes.

  • Assist the superintendent to organize and direct maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to the technical specifications of the contract

  • Assist with procuring and managing supplies and materials to support maintenance activities

  • Account Management – Shadow the Golf Superintendant and Assistant Superintendant in client meetings and course walk-throughs.

  • Agronomic Review – Shadow a Spray Technician

  • Irrigation – Understand the various parts of the irrigation system; Irrigation troubleshooting and best practices

  • Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner including attitude, appearance, and public relations

    You might be a good fit if you have:

  • Pursuing a bachelors or associates degree in any areas of Agriculture such as the following: Turf Management, Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant or Soil Science

    And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

  • Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as CRM systems

  • Self-motivated to work on tasks

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Strong work ethic
