Human Resources Generalist - AtlantaGA, Athens

The Area HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and ensuring the smooth operation of employee relations functions. This position will be responsible for addressing employee concerns, managing conflict resolution, and promoting a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of HR best practices, and a passion for fostering a healthy workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues within the assigned area.

  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediate disputes to maintain a positive work environment.

  • Develop and implement employee relations programs and initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.

  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure consistency in policy application and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases and documentation.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior.

  • Stay current with HR trends, legal updates, and best practices to ensure compliance and effective employee relations management.

  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role with a focus on employee relations.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

  • Experience in the industry.

  • Advanced conflict resolution or mediation training.
