Position Summary

Responsible to perform work in the maintenance, repair, installation and replacement of electrical and mechanical equipment in the manufacturing plant. Perform preventative maintenance and assist with breakdowns.

Essential Functions

Perform maintenance and repair on facility mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.

Predictive and preventative maintenance duties on pumps, presses, valves, fans and safety machine guards.

Source replacement parts, materials, tools, and spare parts as needed.

Monitor and maintain CNC and related machine shop equipment.

Assist in building components for major plant projects/maintenance.

Operate and maintain forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.

Maintain spare parts inventory.

Troubleshoot and maintain engines, conveyors, electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (education, experience, specialized knowledge, certifications, skills, licenses, personal characteristics)

Must have extensive hand-on experience in industrial maintenance.

3-5 years electro-mechanical experience preferred.

Strong mechanical ability essential.

Electrical experience to 480-volt 3-phase.

HVAC experience a plus.

Experience with PLC\'s desired.

Machining experience helpful.

Two-year degree from vocational school and/or equivalent work experience.

Working Conditions

Must be able to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Heavy manufacturing environment, subjecting employees to noise, dirt, vibration, hot/cold temperatures, smoke, dust/shavings, chemical elements.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform the following for the duration of shift:

Frequent pushing/pulling objects through openings on unit

Frequent climbing stairs or ladders

Occasional lifting objects between weight range of 5-50 lbs.

Frequent periods of sitting or standing in confined or cramped spaces
