WorkSource Oregon Community Engagement Assistant in ASTORIA, Oregon

The Community Engagement Assistant provides administrative support to the Board of Directors, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective impact in the community. The Community Engagement Assistant serves as the first point of contact for donors, partners, volunteers, and others. Experience/Position Requirement * Two-year degree or equivalent. * 5 years office experience. * Strong composition, grammar, punctuation, oral and written communication skills. * Must be a team player, able to multi-task and flexible to handle jobs as needed and assigned. * Proficient in Word, Excel and Google tools. * Valid Oregon driver\'s license. * Must be able to list 25 lbs. Duties and Responsibilities: Screen and respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of communication on behalf of the agency * Make weekly bank deposits, in accordance with agency policy * Maintain Board and Committee rosters * Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation in both physical and digital formats * Develop written materials for the agency (Press releases, emails, brochures) * Solicit donations from individuals and businesses * Represent United Way of Clatsop County at various community meeting * Communicate with donors * Coordinate logistics for board member events (retreats, trainings, etc.) * Maintain office supplies * Maintain primary email and phone settings * Assist with special events * Assist with other functions as assigned * Participate in assigned Committees * Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and discretion Part Time 20 hrs wk/More hours may be required as needed Pay: \$22.00 hr Hybrid schedule: 2 days work from home and 2 on-site in Astoria, frequent community meetings
