Stop & Shop Distribution Center Facility Maintenance Technician (3rd) in Assonet, Massachusetts

The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic and mechanical components and motors in material handling and cleaning equipment. Essential Duties: - Perform basic battery repairs and replacement. - Operate CMMS functions designed to be inputted by mechanics. - Perform all major preventative maintenance procedures. - Read and interpret shop manuals and schematics. - Comply with all OSHA and Stop & Shop standard procedures, safety requirements and regulations. - Basic plumbing, painting building repairs. - Observe, report and correct (when appropriate) all unsafe and unsanitary conditions that could cause associate and/or customer accidents. Requirements - Ability to reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to and including 70 lbs. - Must possess own basic hand tools as used in a maintenance shop. - Must be able to read / write English - Possessing basic welding skills is a plus.
