Alpine Bank Personal Banking Representative II in Aspen, Colorado

Description

General Purpose The Personal Banking Representative (PBR) II position provides support to bank clients, assists with account management, check processing, and other transactions, as well as promoting best-fit products and services to bank clients. This is an intermediate-level position.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities Regular and Reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Understands customer financial needs and accordingly recommends suitable bank products. Maintains up-to-date knowledge about bank products and services, including online product offerings, and cross sells as appropriate. Practices exceptional customer service. Uses numerous software applications to accomplish daily tasks with minimal errors. Responds to customer inquiries regarding bank statements, service charges and bank products. Proficiency in consumer and business new account programs. Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency in customer sales and service. Performs other duties as assigned. Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job. Job Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to independently consult with the Bank's customers. Knowledgeable about banking procedures and well-versed in general finance as well as specific products and services. Understanding and application of applicable banking regulations. Efficient problem solving skills. Utilizes tools and training programs available to exceed customer expectations and achieves satisfactory scores on Mystery Shops. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including (but not limited to) Excel, Word, and Outlook. Current possession, or ability to obtain, a Notary Public is a plus. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Education or Formal Training: High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent preferred. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is a plus. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver's License is required.

Experience: An intermediate-level position. 1 year or more experience in customer service, cash handling or banking preferred. Must have completed all of the training associated with the Personal Banking Representative I position and have at least 6 months' experience.

Working Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. May include some weekend and evening hours. Occasional travel may be required.

Physical Activities: Physical demands standing for long periods of time, good eyesight and hand/finger dexterity, and ability to handle some mental stress when dealing with upset customers. May spend significant time doing computer work while occasionally needing to travel for conferences or meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Employee also may have to lift up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motion likely.

Starting Rate of Pay is between $22.50 to $27.50 per hour, depending on experience.
