A growing company in Ashland VA is seeking an Operations Manager for a 1st shift opportunity! This is a Direct Hire Opportunity and we are actively interviewing, for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in the field, this position has 1 direct report and will be a hands on position, the hours are 9-6pm Monday - Friday. salary: $45,000 - $65,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management staff to develop, implement and review policies and procedures

  • Oversees and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual metrics. Using these analytic metrics to make necessary changes within the company.

  • Oversees budgeting, reporting, planning and auditing for operational staff

  • Collaborates with direct reports about training and mentoring for all team members to ensure personal growth and career development

  • Works directly with Human Resources to ensure all team members are treated fairly and safely through all company and state regulations. Including but not limited to onboarding, terminations, annual reviews

  • Ensures a clean, professional and safe working environment by meeting or exceeding company safety rules and OSHA regulations. Conduct quarterly safety meeting.

  • Serves as the liaison between department managers and HR when handling accident and incident reviews. Follows up to conduct accident / incident investigations. Takes proactive approach to communicate correcting employee behavior to prevent further occurrences.

  • Conduct meetings and communicates with staff on business changes and areas of opportunity

  • Ensures all building maintenance and equipment are properly maintained and necessary repairs are addressed immediately.

  • Setting up new vendors and approving invoices for payment
