Job Description: Pentair has a job opportunity for you! Join us as a Tool and Die Maker in our Ashland facility. You will be creating patterns and tooling for our molds for the Foundry, repairing, troubleshooting, adding gating, and working on core boxes. What's in it for you? The anticipated hourly pay for this role is: $28.85/hr. 11 paid holidays each year 2 weeks of paid vacation to start (accrued weekly), and prorated based on hire date Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Up to 5% 401K match starting day one of employment Tuition reimbursement to support your education goals More details about the opportunity: Works from complicated blueprints, sketches, verbal and written instructions to very close tolerances. Layout, construct, fabricate new and/or repair complicated tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges for standard and/or special machines and attachments. Plan and perform a series of operations and duties on diversified types of work; plan set-ups, sequence of operations, selects tooling and lays out procedure to be followed. May diagnose and troubleshoot, replace tools, jigs and fixtures on production machines and equipment. Set up and operate small and medium machine tools and equipment. Performs bench work requiring fitting and assembling of component parts. Perform routine clerical duties such as completing tool records, cross index of tooling and parts. Keep abreast of new tooling and grinding processes. Must have Knowledge on use of micrometers, calipers, venires, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Must have knowledgeable concept of tool geometry as to performance and maintenance. Must be able to improvise in set-ups of machinery to accomplish needed requirements to maintain close tolerance in tool grinding and assist in layout or design work when required Position hours/shifts (Overtime Available!): 1st shift: 5:30am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday (possible overtime on Fridays) Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.
