Job Details Job Location Lutheran Village of Ashland - Ashland, OH   Salary Range $12.00 - $15.00 Hourly Description GENERAL SUMMARY: Responsible to set up and serve meals, assist in tray line operation and perform daily cleaning tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve meals according to departmental guidelines and with a focus on meeting and exceeding resident and guest expectations for service quality. Perform daily and scheduled in dining room. Keep kitchen area clean, and all pots and pans clean and sanitized. Communicate well with other staff regarding resident and guest needs. Ensure food is apportioned correctly and trays are properly set up on tray line. Ensure tables are set neatly and correctly prior to meal time. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-year cooking experience in an institutional environment. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Able to understand, read, write, and speak English. Able to stand for long periods of time. Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds. Able to relate to and work with the elderly. Function independently. Make proper judgments. Possess high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene. Be cooperative with supervisors, fellow employees, and other departments. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Flexibility in managing schedule including weekends and evening hours.
