About This Role

The Corporate Controller will report directly to the Kidde Fenwal Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with the full spectrum of Kidde Fire Systems and Fenwal Controls functional leaders, including IT, customer service, operations, finance, procurement, and supply chain. The Controller will be responsible for accumulating and consolidating financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and managing departmental staff in the US, UK, and India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliation of accounts, and general ledger analysis

  • Support the FP&A team with the production and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

  • Direct accounting operations including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Partner with the CFO to provide executive leadership and stakeholders with monthly financial reports, include Board Level reporting as needed

  • Establish and manage internal controls and compliance

  • Manage scope and relationships with external accounting vendors around audit and assurance services

  • Support and respond to external audit risks and issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business

  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Accounting and Controllership roles with increasing leadership responsibility

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Competencies:

  • Practical experience and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting, technical accounting, and financial management

  • CPA or other Accounting certification

  • MBA, or other relevant advanced degree

  • Extensive knowledge of current US GAAP and IFRS standards

  • Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to motivate teams

  • Excellent time management skills to meet tight timeframes and deadlines

  • Experience with one or more ERP systems including JDE, SyteLine, and/or SAP

  • Prior accounting experience in a global industrial manufacturing business

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including ability and desire to communicate and collaborate across functional areas of the organization
