Job Summary:

CarePartners seeks a PRN physician MD/DO board certified in any discipline for shared coverage of Hospice and PACE Program.

CarePartners in Asheville, NC is seeking a physician MD or DO to join our 27-bed hospice inpatient unit (Solace Center) and our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the elderly (PACE) interdisciplinary team of NPs, RNs, clinical managers, LSCWs, chaplains, therapy disciplines (PT, OT, & speech) and administrative staff.

Hospice provides end of life care and support and collaboration with patients and their designated care-takers.

Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly “PACE” coverage provides care management to the frail elderly population in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in an outpatient clinic setting.

Hospice or PACE experience is not required . Our medical directors are available for training physicians board certified in any discipline.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Must be living in western North Carolina

  • Board certified or board eligible in any specialty

  • MD or DO

  • Practicing physicians of any discipline, but preferred experience in any of the following: hospice, palliative, SNF, geriatrics, oncology, primary care, or internal medicine

  • New grads with HPM fellowship encouraged to apply

  • Incoming candidate will see patients at 27-bed hospice inpatient unit

  • Will also support the PACE South Asheville PCP clinic for elderly

  • Most shifts include NP and other support staff

  • Must be available for at least 6 shifts per month

  • Most shifts are Mon-Fri, some weekend shifts needs

  • All shifts are 8am-5pm / no night call

  • Please note that this position does not offer visa support
