EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide high level administrative support for the General Manager and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members, requiring discretion, confidentiality, a good understanding of technical and business vocabulary, and a detailed knowledge of the organization\'s operations, procedures, and people. Manage the General Manager\'s schedule. Make travel arrangements to make best use of their time. Gather, compile, verify, and analyze information for the General Manager and SLT\'s use in documents such as memos, letters, reports, speeches, presentations, and news releases. Facilitate smooth communications between the executive and coworkers and between the executive and external parties such as media, customers, and the public. Handle confidential information. Maintain the security of the General Manager\'s records and files. Monitor, review, and approve standard expenditures to ensure the activities of the office are conducted within established budgets. Perform tasks using independent judgment and discretion, e.g., preparing documents and presentation materials; screening and responding to incoming correspondence, inquiries, and phone calls; drafting letters and official information releases; arranging and attending meetings; taking and distributing minutes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree in a business or related field, and 5 years of applicable experience is required.

SKILLS:

For this job an advanced level of knowledge is needed in administrative duties. A solid working knowledge is needed in software application including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Windows operating system. Manage the flow of customers and information both internally and externally.

COMPETENCIES:

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be organized and efficient. Must be able to work on multiple projects and duties simultaneously. Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities. Needs to be a self-starter and be able to flow to work.
