Toyon Research Corporation Security Program Assistant (Ref #2432-H) in Ashburn, Virginia

U.S. Citizenship Required.This position requires a current TOP SECRET clearance. Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible.

This position is in-person.

Toyon Research Corporation is seeking a Program Security Assistant (PSA) to work closely with Security Officers and Program Managers to assist in program management duties. These duties include supporting the PSO in daily security operations, assisting with paperwork preparation for visit requests, training, maintaining personnel security files, and assisting with preparations for inspections. Responsibilities require active communication and planning among various members of the program management and security team. A highly qualified candidate will provide attention to detail and initiative to proactively ensure duties are completed in a timely manner.

Duties:

  • Coordinate various activities among the security officers, program management, customers, and outside parties related to program execution, management, and planning.
  • Participate in security meetings to coordinate logistics and follow-up activities.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems/conflicts.
  • Draft and/or update a myriad of security documents, i.e., SOPs, OPSEC plans, Security Test Plans, Fixed Facility Checklist (FFCs) and other documentation.
  • Ensure personnel folders (electronic/hard copy) have the required documentation (i.e., approved Program Access Request (PAR), training, and Program Indoctrination Agreement (PIA))
  • Review documentation, validate office procedures, provide assistance during physical inspections and provide feedback/recommendations to the Customer.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to ensure hardware and software are properly documented and integrated to the program space.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in English, Psychology, Business, Communications, or related field, and/or equivalent experience;
  • U.S. citizenship and a final DoD TOP SECRET clearance
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders to include but not limited to; EO 13526, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), ICD 705, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, DoDM 5205.07, Volumes 1-4, DoDI 5205.11 and DoD 8500.01
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintains attention to detail

The annual pay range for the Security Program Assistant position is $85,000 to $105,000.

The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidates education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
