What You’ll Be Doing
Evolent Health is seeking a Vice Present to join its Solutions Development team. The Solution Development team is responsible for the identification and launch of new, revenue-generating solutions in concert with the firm’s strategy as well as the medium to long-term solution portfolio roadmap. The group partners heavily with internal cross-functional teams in Strategy, Operations, and Go-To-Market. The group and the position are located in the Washington, DC area. The position will drive the launch of new solutions, contribute to the development of the company’s overall strategy, and oversee the day-to-day activities and professional development of junior team members.
Drive the research, development, and launch of new revenue-generating solutions:
Proactively identify unmet customer needs in the market that may be suitable for new solution development or M&A
Prioritize potential new solutions by sizing relative market opportunities and evaluating consistency with firm’s strategy, competencies, and capital base
Refine key solution attributes from through primary customer testing
Build detailed business cases, marketing, and sales strategies
Shepherd through internal decision making process
Drive the initial solution launch including responsibility for selling alpha customers in concert with Go-To-Market teams
Closely coordinate with Operations to ensure successful delivery
Contribute to the company’s overall growth strategy:
- Collaborate with Strategy team in prioritizing medium to longer-term solution portfolio
Oversee the day-to-day activities and professional development of junior team members:
Manage the day-to-day work of a small team of staff
Direct the professional development and performance review process for select staff
The Experience You’ll Need (Required)
10 years’ relevant experience
Experience working in payer/provider environment, e.g., health plan, population health, or health systems
Growth initiatives experience, e.g., launching new business lines, entrepreneurial experience
Finishing Touches (Preferred)
Graduate Degree in health or a business related discipline
Experience with business or solution development
Outstanding written and oral presentation skills, ability to engage in back-an-forth conversation with senior leaders, ability to be convincing, and ability to develop strong relationships
Experience managing the day-to-day work and professional development process for small teams
