MaxSent is looking for anAssistant Security Directorfor our security operation In Arlington, VA. Reporting to the Security Director, the Assistant Director assumes co-responsibility for the security program at the property in conjunction with the Security Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.

  • Handle security issues and emergency situations according to MaxSent and property protocol.

  • Understand site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.

  • Greet guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.

  • Answer questions and assist guests and employees.

  • Remain flexible to the ever-changing environment; adapts well to different situations.

  • Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.

  • Answer phones and greet guests and employees

  • Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures

  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train Security Officers

  • Scheduling, deployment, supervision, training, and discipline of Security Officers

  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs

  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events

  • Create reports for management on security status

  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements (e.g. implementation of new technology)

  • Maintain state-specific licensing in accordance with state statutes

  • Ensure all direct reports maintain state-specific licensing in accordance with state statutes

  • Write detailed narrative reports, and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must possess DCJS and valid Driver-s License.

  • Three years of previous security, military, or law enforcement experience

  • Proven experience as a security manager or similar position.

  • Experience with previous leadership and project management is preferred.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills required.

  • Strong experience with scheduling, payroll, recruiting, and hiring.

  • Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Experience with access control, CCTV, and fire panel systems.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing.

Salary: $60,000 per year
