Job Description

Purpose & Scope:

As Support Services Dispatcher, incumbent will answer telephones, process work orders and assign personnel to complete work order. Greet all incoming vendors and employees and assist employees as needed. The Support Services Dispatcher has frontline responsibility for handling customer service interactions, primarily through telephone and personal contact with both internal and external customers. In this capacity, the function of support services Dispatcher is also incorporated to include daily operational tasks, computerized record-keeping, and general office activities.Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people. Must be able to maintain composure and handle stress in a busy office atmosphere. Must be able to represent the hospital and the Department of Facilities Engineering to all employees and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at all times.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:

One year of office/clerical experience is preferred.

Typing experience is required.

One year of experience using Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

None.
