Galorath Inc. Senior Cost Analyst IV - VA and CA in Arlington, Virginia

Senior Cost Analyst - Estimation - Modeling IV  - Northern, Virginia and Los Angeles, California

The Cost - Estimation - Modeling Analyst III will support a broad range of program, acquisition, and financial Support capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities.

-US Citizen and an active DoD Secret clearance required.

The successful candidate will provide cost and acquisition program support 

Project Location: Northern, Virginia and Los Angeles, California 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 7-10 years + of experience supporting federal government space acquisition programs.

  • A minimum of 3 years proficiency with cost models (For example; ACEIT, USCM, SEER, MS Office, PRICE & SMC/Industry standard models). 

  • US Citizen and an active DoD Secret clearance required.

-This is a hybrid remote position with minimum one day in office at client site.

  • Demonstrated expertise in complex information technologies, simulations, models, operations, and research tools.

  • Experience in advising decision makers on significant issues related to cost.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic work environment and ability to coordinate and perform multiple assignments.

  • Possess analytical, assertive, creative, and effective problem-solving skills, along with  excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Capable of working independently to resolve complex issues.

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) or higher (desired in finance, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science or a comparable STEM degree).

    Description of Duties:

  • Provide a broad range of cost estimating support. This includes cost estimate development for a portfolio of programs across all phases of the acquisition lifecycle (including software cost estimating). Responsibilities also include support in the preparation of program cost analysis requirements document preparation and evaluation, historical data cost analysis, market surveys, economic analyses, cost policy reviews, Total Ownership Cost analyses, and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) evaluations.

  • Analysis of support contractors’ cost data and cost estimates, including Engineering Change Proposals, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimates to ensure consistency with Government accepted cost estimating procedures is also required Additionally, this position requires support in the development and modification of program WBS and verification of compliance with current requirements.

  • Apply program management and systems engineering experience to develop solutions for our customer’s most challenging issues.

  • Develop strategic briefings and reports that summarize technical and programmatic issues, financial constraints, and accomplishments.

  • Manage information requests, inquiries, and tasks through completion.

  • Perform research and analysis that summarize relevant issues, incorporate policy and guidance, addresses government, industry, and international partner perspectives to provide recommendations and/or potential courses of action.

     

    Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting government cost estimation and acquisition programs.

  • Has previous experience providing independent cost assessments.

  • Experience with the U.S. Department of Defense or Military
