GCyber Senior Circuit Engineer in Arlington, Virginia

GCyber is actively seeking an experienced Senior Circuit Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex circuit layouts within our client’s high-security DoD IT environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both digital and analogue circuitry, backed by a proven track record in engineering circuit layout diagrams, and a robust knowledge of IP and optical network operations.

As a Senior Circuit Engineer, you will:

 

  • Design and develop detailed engineering circuit layout diagrams, ensuring they meet both internal standards and DoD network and system security requirements.

  • Lead the digital and analogue circuit design and implementation processes, applying best practices to achieve optimal performance and reliability.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits to identify and rectify issues, ensuring high levels of system availability and functionality.

  • Provide expert help desk support and operation, utilizing advanced monitoring tools for both reactive and proactive management of network and systems infrastructure.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of IP and optical network operations, leveraging this knowledge to enhance network performance and security.

  • Adhere to and promote industry-accepted standards and best practices related to Information Management Operations and ITSM, contributing to the continuous improvement of our network infrastructure.

  • Engage in effective oral and written communication with the highest levels of management, presenting complex technical information in an accessible manner.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and implementation of new applications, infrastructure decisions, and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or Telecommunications.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in creating engineering circuit layout diagrams, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.

  • At least 7 years’ experience in both digital and analogue circuit design and implementation, including hands-on analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits.

  • Minimum 7 years’ proven experience in help desk support and operations within a DoD IT environment, showcasing an ability to manage complex network issues and customer requests effectively.

  • Proficient knowledge of networking and network-based software applications, with a keen understanding of DoD network and system security requirements.
