Amazon Senior Business Planning Manager (Japanese), Global Realty in Arlington, Virginia

Description

The Business Planning Role within Global Realty serves as a program leader on numerous business topics across the portfolio of the team. The group's mission is to deliver Real Estate expertise, resources, and products in addition to change and cost evaluations that exceed industry standards to internal Amazon customers.

For this role, Amazon is seeking a candidate that is fluent in Japanese and is able to travel to the Asia Pacific region periodically for business.

Key job responsibilities

The person in this role will be leveraged as Global Realty's single threaded owner and expert on all products and services associated with building design, building engineering, design change, and optimized cost evaluation for Amazon's existing and planned real estate portfolio. This includes:

  • Manage deliverables for weekly, monthly, annual and multi-year planning and business reviews within Global Realty

  • Execute the annual goals planning process

  • Implement systems that ensure strong follow-up management occurs on action items and questions with relevant senior leaders

  • Management of competing priorities across a wide range of stakeholders

  • Ensure time is focused on the highest value activities and issues

  • Build and manage agendas for leadership meetings and off sites

  • Provide an independent perspective and acting as a sounding board for ideas

  • Create content for periodic update emails and all-hands meetings as well as internal and external presentations

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Conversational level fluency in Japanese

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
